Sedona comments on his victory with emotion “It is truly something extraordinary. As a violinist from Treviso, from an early age, I have always thought of the Vittorio Veneto City Competition as a great event and looked at the winners of past editions with extreme admiration. It is therefore difficult today to realize this victory. Today I felt so much joy on stage seeing the audience in the hall cheering you when you enter and when you finish your performance. Having heard the people close to me was the most important thing as we don't play for ourselves, but to convey an emotion and to give a message”.

The second prize of € 5,000.00 offered by the Municipality of Vittorio Veneto was awarded to Ispir Luka (22 years old, France), while the third prize of € 2,000.00 offered by the Lions Club of Vittorio Veneto went to Siles-Mellinger Andreas (23 years old, Germany)

The jury decided to award Taisiya Zinova (Latvia) a special diploma of merit worth € 750.00 offered by the Rotary Club Conegliano Vittorio Veneto.

The jury was chaired by Ernesto SCHIAVI, artistic director of the RAI National Symphony Orchestra.

The other members were the artistic director of the Competition Francesco DE ANGELIS, solo violin and Konzertmeister of the Teatro alla Scala and of the Filarmonica della Scala; David COLEMAN, British conductor and composer; Silvia MARCOVICI, violinist; Stefano DA ROS, composer and head of the jury secretariat and of the artistic coordination of the Competition.

I want to thank again all the violinists who participated in this competition because we were able to share their sufferings, fears and joys”. This is the immediate comment of President Schiavi who continues by saying “I hope that these feelings will become precious stones that are to be always carried in the cases of the musicians’ own instrument for future growth. We must remember that music in this moment has not only an aesthetic value, but a profound ethical value. I thank the Vittorio Veneto Administration and its sponsor, whom I would like to define as a travel companion, for having created this partnership and for having announced the continuation of this competition ".
