The competiton is postponed to 2021

The municipal administration, taking note of what was established by the government with the latest prime ministerial decree, had to - albeit reluctantly - proceed with the postponement of the 32nd Violin Competition ”Città di Vittorio Veneto - Prosecco doc International prize"

A difficult decision but made inevitable for the many unknowns deriving from the current situation that would have made objectively difficult to maintain the fixed dates and calendar, also in consideration of the possible limitations to mobility between European states.

This morning, Mayor Antonio Miatto therefore sent a communication to all participants to announce the inevitable postponement of the event to next year.

"Due to the worsening of the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19 throughout Europe, I am really sorry - writes the Mayor - to inform you that the 32nd Violin Competition ''Città di Vittorio Veneto - Prosecco doc International prize'' was postponed to 2021, in a period between May and September».

The mayor's note is echoed by the words of the Councilor for Culture Antonella Uliana who comments as follows: "Only two days ago I expressed my great satisfaction for having reached such a large number of participants despite the difficulties of the period we are experiencing. To obtain this result, the whole staff had been working hard for more than a year with an almost daily commitment. Now, with regret, we must suspend the initiative while waiting for better times".
